MEETING MINUTES

 The Chapter meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m., by Lou Ann Dollar.

 

The total number of members in attendance:  40

The total number of guest in attendance:  7

 

The meal invocation was given by Gerald Johnson

 

Guest Speaker(s):  Tom Green, State of Missouri Ombudsman, Property Rights

 

 

CHAPTER BUSINESS

 

REPORTS:

 

Secretary’s Report:

 

Copies of the minutes were available for the November 6, 2009 meeting.  However, the minutes were not pending approval from Angela, they are pending corrections. 

 

Treasurer’s Report:

 

The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Harvey Allen.  The balance as of March 5, 2010 is $11, 308.96.  A motion was made by Ed Dirk and seconded by Gerald Johnson, to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Motion passed.

 

Educational Chair Report: 

 

Lou Ann Dollar reported that an Ethics class would be held in May at the GOB. 

 

Membership Chair Report: 

 

Professional Development Chair Report:  Lou Ann Dollar reported that we have 27 members with their SR/WA certification and 8 candidates in the chapter.

 

 

The remaining new officers for 2010 were sworn in by Ed Dirk

President Elect Matha Scott, SR/WA, R/W-AMC, R/W-NAC

2nd Vice President Brett Farner

Secretary Janice Collier

 

 

 

 

Old Business

 

The Chapter is still working on updating the two year strategic plan.  The Chapter’s bylaws have been amended and posted on the website.

 

The Chapter also discussed the change in fiscal year to coincide with International’s fiscal year.  This will be voted on at the May meeting.

 

 

New Business

 

Chapter 41 will be hosting the Region 3 Spring Forum on April 9th in Nebraska.  Lou Ann Dollar and Matha Scott will be attending from Chapter 37.

 

Chapter 37 will be hosting the Region 3 Fall Forum on September 30, 2010 at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel.  It was discussed combing Chapter 37’s 50th Anniversary celebration with the Fall Forum.

 

The IRWA Annual International Education Conference will be held in Calgary, Alberta, June 27-30.  Lou Ann Dollar will be representing Chapter 37.

 

MOTION TO ADJOURN:  A motion to adjourn was made by Ed Dirk and seconded by Gerald Johnson.

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

 

Chapter 37 will once again be attending a Cardinal Baseball game.  The date has not been decided.  We hope to have the ticket information available at the May meeting.
